Clear Lake is the largest
natural lake in California with 127 miles of shore line
surrounded by beautiful mountains, which were formed by a
volcano. One of the mountains is Mt. Konocti. Nestled
among the trees along the shore line are resorts for
camping or rentals, private homes and natural habitats for
the local wildlife. Whether your interests lie in hiking,
water sports, bass fishing tournaments (best bass fishing
in the state they say) auto racing, off-road trails,
touring the Homestake Gold mine, there is something for
the entire family, only two hours from the Bay Area.
Why do we mention the desirableness of our area?
Matthew 24:15-16 says “When ye therefore shall see the
abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel the prophet,
stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the
mountains.” What is the meaning of this
prediction of Jesus? The answer holds the key to
understanding when it is time for God’s people to get
out of the cities.
We also have fertile grounds to lead others to accept
Jesus as their personal savior and to unite with His
church, and nurture them in preparation for His soon
return.
